Edwardian Gold-filled Locket with Paste “Star”
I love the size and mellow gold finish of this large gold-filled locket pendant from the 1930s. It’s American made gold-fill, decorated with a 5-point star in paste.
Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass, that simulates the brilliance of gemstones. It was a popular material used in Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco jewelry.
The hinge mechanism is flawless and opens the locket up to a large interior compartment for a photo or a lock of hair. I’ve left the original picture inside.
* 2 inches diameter
* 15 original paste stones

* 7mm jump ring to attach to a clasp or slide over a chain
The gray pearl necklace shown is sold separately.
I take great care to select antique pieces that are in exceptional condition. However, they have been loved before and will show slight signs of wear commensurate with their age. Each piece is unique and tells its own story, and unless noted, cannot be altered.
