Georgian 9ct Gold Paste Evil Eye Pendant Conversion
This is a rare, beautiful evil eye pendant that started life as a pin, which I converted with a 14ct gold hoop.
She dates to early 1800s (Georgian era) and was worn as a protective amulet.
The paste stones are in incredible condition in their original collet silver settings and then backed in 9ct gold.
Paste is a natural flint glass that was polished with metallic powder to simulate the sparkle of gemstones. It was very popular throughout the 1800s and has become very collectible.
Wear her as a solo piece or layered with old lockets or pendants. She adds old world glamour to everything from a simple t-shirt and jeans to a ball gown.
